TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - Today drier air moved in behind a front, lowering our humidity, clearing our skies, and almost eliminating our chances for showers. We saw a few isolated showers during the afternoon hours, primarily in Highlands county.

Highs reach 90 degrees Tuesday, but with the lower humidity, heat index values will only be in the low 90s. You'll even be able to get some relief when you're in the shade.

We keep the humidity low all this week, which means we won't get much rain this week. Highs climb into the low-mid 90s, and heat index values remain reasonable.

Humidity starts to return by the end of the week, and that will help introduce a few showers this weekend. Better chances return next week.
