TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - We have another scorcher on tap with temperatures climbing into the low-mid 90s this afternoon. When you add in the humidity, it'll feel like 100-105, so stay hydrated, and take breaks out of the heat when you can.

Rain chances are limited to areas east of I-75 this afternoon and evening. While a few spotty showers are possible around midday, most of the storms form after temperatures have already reached their peak.

Expect fewer storms over the weekend, and it's going to be hot. We'll feel highs in the mid 90s with high humidity. The rain will be isolated at best during the afternoon.

Rain chances increase significantly next week with tropical moisture spreading into the Gulf of Mexico. We'll have 50%-70% each day starting Tuesday.

Forecast models diverge on exactly how much rain we could see. One shows as little as 1-3 inches through the period, while another shows 3-5 inches. We'll continue to fine tune the amount of rain, but we'll take anything we can get to help out the drought and wildfire conditions.
