TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- A hot and humid weekend is underway across the Tampa Bay area. Temperatures will be in the mid-90s with feels like temperatures between 100 and 105° both today and Sunday.

Limited shower chances will continue with mainly afternoon and evening downpours south of -4.

The marine forecast looks good this weekend with a light onshore wind continuing out of the west at 5 to 10 knots for most of the day, with a stronger afternoon onshore breeze as the sea breeze develops.

Tropical moisture is still expected to move in next week increasing rain chances area wide.
There's still some uncertainty with how much rain we could see but heavier downpours are likely with 2 to 4 in of rain possible starting Tuesday through Friday.

At this time, tropical development is not expected but it is something we'll watch as the moisture moves into the Gulf of Mexico.

Either way, most areas need the rain with the severe drought expanding north.
