TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - Keep an umbrella nearby for the next few days with passing downpours expected. The extra clouds and rain keep highs in the upper 80s, but it will still be quite humid when it's not raining.
The heaviest widespread downpours are expected to stay south of I-4 as the tropical moisture spreads north. This is an area that is currently in a severe drought, so the inconvenient weather is still welcome.

We'll have off and on showers through the day tomorrow as well. Rainfall totals will vary depending on which spots see the heaviest downpours develop, but most of us should get anywhere from a half inch of rain to 4 inches of rain during the next two days. Some isolated areas will get higher amounts.

Elevated rain chances continue through the end of the week. The tropical moisture retreats back into the Gulf of Mexico by Sunday.

After that, we return to a more typical summer afternoon rainy pattern. It's hotter on those day with more sunshine. Highs will be in the low 90s.
