TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - Expect a hot, humid day with highs in the low 90s. Heat index values will range from 104-110, so be sure to stay hydrated. The Heat Advisory is in effect from noon until 6pm.

Scattered downpours develop as well. The first storms form around midday, and the rain drifts to the northeast during the afternoon as an onshore wind pattern develops.

That onshore pattern is firmly in place tomorrow, so the wind from the Gulf of Mexico pushes showers onshore in the morning. The highest rain chance will be in the middle of the day, and the storms fade away in the late afternoon.

It won't be quite as hot tomorrow because the clouds and rain come in earlier, but it'll still be humid and steamy.

The onshore pattern continues Wednesday and Thursday, so expect earlier showers that quickly push inland both days.

We transition out of that pattern Friday, and we go back to typical late-day downpours by the weekend. Highs also return to the low-mid 90s.

Hurricane Beryl heads into Texas today with high wind, tropical downpours and some storm surge before it weakens and become a rain-maker across several states in the coming days.
