Showers will wind down as we head into the overnight hours with low temperatures by Sunday morning dropping into the upper 70s. Rain and storms will arrive later in the day Sunday with afternoon and late evening showers expected as highs rise to the low to mid 90s. Feels like temps will be around 105 in many areas.
There will be fewer storms Monday, but timing will remain the same as temps start out in the upper 70s with afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s.
Rain arrives a bit earlier Tuesday and through the rest of the work week with midday rain lingering into the afternoon and evening. Lows will stay in the upper 70s with highs in the low 90s through next weekend.
The tropics remain quiet thanks to several plumes of Saharan dust moving through the Atlantic, Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico.
