TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Showers and thunderstorms will develop inland this evening and will move offshore later tonight. Low temperatures will be in the upper 70s.

Friday morning looks sunny and hot with dry conditions dominating the region until around lunchtime. A few spotty showers will begin along the coastline in the early afternoon, as mostly inland showers ensue in the evening hours and recede towards the Gulf of Mexico.

The weather this weekend will be very pleasant and dry in the morning hours, but the sea breeze pattern will continue to bring those showers and thunderstorms late in the day on Saturday and Sunday. Humidity is extremely high throughout the weekend with feels like temperatures in the triple digits!

Next week looks a lot like the past few days with the summer sea breeze thunderstorm weather pattern sticking around for the Tampa Bay area. A 50-60% chance of rain is expected the next several days, with highs in the low 90s and plenty of humidity generating hot and muggy conditions.

No areas of development are expected to form in the tropics throughout the next week due to the presence of Saharan Dust in the Gulf of Mexico.
