TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Showers are moving into the Tampa Bay area Tuesday night.
Today most of us saw a passing shower as a front stalled out over us, increasing our chances for showers and storms. Most of the rain moves east or fades by sunset, leaving us quiet overnight.
Overnight the cool down will be sluggish and unimpressive, getting down into the mid to low 80s overnight.
Wednesday's chances for showers are more limited to the area along and to the south of I-4. Slightly drier air keeps the Nature Coast free of the downpours.

The onshore wind pattern will continue keeping the chance for morning showers along the coast in the forecast through the end of the week.
Thursday's chances for showers start early and are more widespread. We could see some areas with high rainfall totals by the afternoon hours. After 2p.m, the rain chances begin to decline.

A return to more afternoon thunderstorm activity comes back this weekend and into early next week.
The tropics remain quiet for now with no new development expected in the next 5 to 7 days.
