TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - With a stalled front still draped across the state and a breeze coming from the Gulf of Mexico, widespread downpours develop and spread onshore starting this morning.

Rain chances peak around 80% before midday and begin to taper off in the afternoon.
The extra rain and clouds help hold highs in the upper 80s, but the humidity between storms will be high.
Watch for a few spotty showers again tomorrow morning, but it should not be as widespread. The wind pattern shifts during the day tomorrow, and the wind will come from the southeast in the afternoon. That means another round of storms develops later in the afternoon as well.

The later storms may impact the Bucs' preseason game against the Dolphins at Raymond James Stadium Friday night. You may want to bring a poncho just in case.

For the weekend, we return to a classic summer weather pattern with morning sunshine, hot afternoons, and a round of late-day thunderstorms.

This pattern continues next week as well with highs in the low 90s and mainly afternoon storms.
