There are a couple areas we are watching in the tropics. One in the northern Gulf that isn't expected to strengthen as it brings rain to the Texas coast. The other tropical wave we will watch closely as it is expected to develop into a depression sometime next week as it moves through the Caribbean. Forecast models take this system into the Gulf, but it appears to stay away from Florida. Another wave is expected to move off the African coast and move into the central Atlantic. It doesn't look like any of these will impact oiur area.
