Isolated showers will develop overnight and into your Monday morning, but will be few and far between. Temperatures will start out in the upper 70s. Highs will rise to the low 90s with heat index values around 105.
Isolated to scattered rain chances will be in play throughout the work week with a 40 to 50 percent chance. Temperatures start out in the mid to upper 70s as highs will to around 90 degrees.
Not much change in store this weekend with isolated to scattered showers and storms with highs around 90. Lows will be in the middle 70s.
Hurricane Isaac is moving northeast in the far northern Atlantic and Tropical Storm Joyce is moving northwest in the eastern Atlantic. Both storms will weaken and stay over the open water.
Tropical Depression Twelve has now formed in the far eastern Atlantic and is moving to the west. It is expected to move to the west then northwest over the coming days and become a hurricane and possibly a major hurricane. Models do take this north in the central Atlantic as we continue to monitor this storm. It is expected to become Tropical Storm Kirk overnight or on Monday.
There are two other areas we are watching. One area of low pressure in the south central Caribbean will slowly develop. This has a 50 percent chance of development the next 7 days, but models strengthen this slowly over the western Gulf of Mexico. A tropical depression is expected to develop by the middle of next week. We will closely monitor this system, but it appears as though this will be a much weaker system.
There's a brand new wave that just emerged off the African coast and right now has a 30 percent chance of developmend as it moves to the west and northwest. Some gradual development is possible later next week.
