TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - There's a slight shift in the location of the rain tomorrow and Friday. Showers build toward the Gulf of Mexico in the evening, but the rain chance remains at 40%.
Moisture levels increase through the weekend, so more downpours form. It won't be a complete washout, but be prepared for storms. Highest rain chance comes on Sunday as the low in the Gulf of Mexico drifts east.
This tropical low should remain weak, but it meanders around the Gulf of Mexico for a few days keeping tropical moisture spreading across the state. We will continue to monitor it for any signs of organization, but at this point, the National Hurricane Center gives it a 40% chance of development in the next 7 days.
