ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Storm debris left by Hurricane Helene lining the streets of St. Petersburg will be an additional threat to an already "extremely dangerous" storm, the National Hurricane Center said.
The video taken Tuesday morning shows Helene-damaged items line neighborhoods in Shore Acres and Snell Isle.
"The wind and storm surge from #Milton is going to spread this everywhere," a user posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Tampa Bay is going to be a mess for a long time after this one."
Devastating hurricane-force winds are expected when Milton makes landfall, which will pose a huge threat, especially with the debris Floridians still have from Helene.
The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Milton will arrive as an extremely dangerous hurricane" on Florida's Gulf Coast.
Officials warned that Tuesday is the last full day for Florida residents to finalize preparations and to safely evacuate.
