TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- A cold front will pass through Wednesday, bringing a round of showers and thunderstorms, and then colder weather to the Tampa Bay area.
The front will arrive Wednesday with a broken line of showers and thunderstorms.
A few showers are possible early morning but the main downpours will arrive to the Nature Coast after 9 or 10 a.m. This line will slowly progress from the Nature Coast down south throughout the day. The rain clears the Sarasota, Highlands County region after 4 p.m.

Winds will pick up behind the rain as the colder air begins to move in.

It will be chilly by Wednesday evening, but the real cold settles in by Thursday morning. Morning low temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s, with widespread wind chills in the 30s.

Temperatures only warm into the low 60s Thursday afternoon, despite full sunshine. The chilly breeze will stick around as well.

Another chilly night is expected Thursday night and Friday morning with temperatures in the upper 40s in Tampa.

After that cold start, a warming trend begins and the 70s return and stick around Friday and through the weekend.
