TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Today was miserable- cold with a consistent light drizzle. We broke our high temperature record again, the coldest we've ever topped out at on this day was 52°, and we only made it into the mid to upper 40s.

We will start to dry out and the skies will start to clear out this evening, starting in our western counties and ending in our eastern counties by sunrise.
Tonight, clouds begin to clear out and it will be drier but it will be colder. Low temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s by Friday morning.
Full sunshine returns Friday, but it is still very cold with highs in the 50s.
The forecast for the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion on Saturday will be dry but also very cold. Temperatures in the morning will be in the 30s but warm into the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Temperatures will begin to fall quickly in the evening.

A big warming trend will be underway Sunday with highs back in the low 70s.

Mid-70s stick around next week with a dry, mild, and a much quieter weather pattern set up.
