TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Temperatures are cold again this morning but improvements to the forecast begin today. Sunshine returns and it will be much drier but temperatures stay cold. Highs today will be in the mid-50s.

Clear skies will give way to an even colder night ahead with 20s and 30s by Saturday morning.

The improvements continue over the weekend with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees Saturday for the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion forecast. Full sunshine is expected but will be accompanied by a chilly breeze at times. Temperatures will drop quickly in the evening so make sure to have extra layers as the night goes on.

The warming trend will continue and be notable by Sunday with morning lows in the 40s but warming to near 70 degrees in the afternoon.

Highs will be in the low to mid-70s all week with mostly sunny skies. No rain is forecast through next Friday.
