Gusty storms pass with cold front Wednesday

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- A strong cold front will pass through today with a line of gusty showers and storms. One or two wind gusts could be 50 to 60 mph.

Storms arrive to Citrus and Hernando County by mid to late morning, around 10am.

This line will continue to move southeast and pass through Hillsborough and Pinellas around lunchtime.

The line of showers then will begin to break apart moving into areas south of I-4. A few showers will linger behind the the initial line of gusty showers but the rain clears out for everyone by early this evening.

Temperatures will warm into the mid-70s by lunchtime and it will be gusty, even before the rain arrives. Temperatures will slowly fall this afternoon and overnight into the mid-50s by Thursday morning.

Although Thursday morning will be cooler, the chilly air will continue to settle in Thursday afternoon and the warm-up will be slow with highs in the mid-60s despite sunny skies.

Thursday night and Friday morning will be coldest with lows in the upper 40s.

Temperatures warm up nicely for Friday afternoon with highs back in the mid-70s.

Another system will increase rain chances again later in the day Sunday and could linger through Tuesday.

Temperatures will stay mild, in the mid and upper 70s.
