TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A weak cold front is sliding through the Tampa Bay area this morning, bringing a temporary breeze and a refreshing drop in humidity. After that? Wall-to-wall sunshine, rising temperatures, and a fantastic setup heading into the holiday weekend.
Today: Front Passes, Breezy & Bright
Today starts off with a weak front passing through during the morning hours. Temperatures dip slightly behind the boundary, settling into the upper 60s by 9 a.m. We rebound nicely into the low 80s by mid-afternoon. Northerly winds around 10-15 mph bring in drier air, making it feel less humid and more pleasant through the evening. Expect a high of 83°, with only a 10% chance of a stray sprinkle early in the day as the front passes.

Thursday Through Saturday: Sunshine and 90s Return
Temperatures take a noticeable jump starting Thursday, with highs reaching 87° under sunny skies. Light easterly winds help keep conditions comfortable, but you'll definitely feel the heat as we hit 90° on both Friday and Saturday. Winds increase slightly by Saturday afternoon, but it stays dry with just a few passing clouds.

Easter Sunday: Picture-Perfect Spring Weather
Expect sunshine and a few clouds, with morning temperatures in the upper 60s and afternoon highs once again reaching 90°. A light southeast breeze around 5–10 mph will make it feel warm, but not overly humid — perfect for egg hunts, brunch, or beach plans.

Next Week: Warm and Slightly Unsettled
Temperatures stay warm into early next week, with highs holding steady in the upper 80s to near 90°. A few more clouds roll in Monday and Tuesday, and we’ll watch for a slight chance of showers both days — 10% Monday, increasing to 20% Tuesday, and 10% again Wednesday. The humidity will return as well so it wil be warm and muggy heading into next week.
