TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A hot and mostly sunny day is ahead, with Tampa’s high reaching 91° this afternoon under mostly clear skies. It’ll feel toasty no rain in the forecast today but changes are coming as we head toward the weekend.

Today’s Forecast: Sunny, Dry & Toasty

We stay dry all day, and you’ll feel the heat build fast by early afternoon. Skies remain mostly sunny.

Rain Chances Tick Up Starting Friday

After a quiet Thursday, a slight 10% chance of rain returns Friday, then jumps to 30% Saturday through Monday. These will mainly be afternoon pop-up showers and isolated storms and the best chance will be inland.

Forecast Snapshot

Temperatures remain above average this week, with highs dropping back into the mid-80s late into the weekend and next week. The mugginess will return by Sunday and it will stay feeling humid through next week as well. This will keep a low chance for a few stray showers in the forecast each day.
