TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - We have limited rain chances today as some drier air arrives with a plume of Saharan dust. There's just a 20% rain chance mainly east of I-75 this afternoon.

It will still be quite hot and humid with highs in the low 90s and heat index values 100-105.

While the rain chances are still below average for July tomorrow, a few more storms develop in the afternoon. The showers drift inland through the day with a continued onshore wind pattern.

Rain chances increase Friday to 50%, and storms are possible earlier in the day helping to keep highs near 90 degrees.

We return to a more "classic" summer weather pattern this weekend where the days start out dry, and late-day downpours develop into the evening. Highs will be above average in the low-mid 90s.

The tropics remain quiet now as plumes of Saharan dust continue to spread across the Atlantic.
