TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A few scattered showers and thunderstorms linger throughout the Tampa Bay area through the evening hours tonight. Low temperatures will be in the upper 70s.

This weekend will be very warm and dry in the morning hours, but the sea breeze pattern will bring those showers and thunderstorms later in the day on Saturday and Sunday. Humidity is extremely high throughout the weekend with feels like temperatures still in the triple digits!

The week ahead looks quite different from this weekend, with showers beginning in the morning and continuing throughout the afternoon hours. Muggy conditions persist throughout the week with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s, and dew points near 80 degrees.

A tropical disturbance has emerged in the tropics and has a 20% chance of development within the next week. However, there is no expected development over the next two days due to the presence of Saharan Dust in the Atlantic Ocean.
