TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - As we round out the month of July, we have fewer afternoon and evening storms in the forecast. We will have widely scattered storms making their way inland this afternoon, and a few storms sliding back towards the coastline around sunset.

Today was hot & humid, topping out in the mid to low 90s, feeling like 100°-108°.

A similar pattern and forecast are in place tomorrow as well. Highs will be back in the low-mid 90s, and there's a 40% chance of afternoon and evening storms.

The long range forecast depends on where a tropical wave tracks. While most of the models keep the system weak, the moisture associated with it could increase our rain chances if it gets close to the state of Florida this weekend. There's also a chance that the system stays far enough off Florida's east coast that some drier air may get pulled in.

Forecast models have begun coming together on a slight agreement. The forecast this wave movng through the Bahamas and possibly developing whie it stalls out over the state of Florida for several days. This would be a huge rainmaker for our area beginning on Sunday and sticking around through the middle of next week.
