TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - Today was drier, with a more inland concentration of late-afternoon amd evening storms, giving the previously flooded metro areas a much-needed break in the heaviest rain.
Overnight we will be quiet and muggy, with overnight temperatures sinking down into the mid to upper 70s.

The rain chance drops to 40% tomorrow. Fewer showers develop, and those that do form quickly push east of I-75.
Watch for a few morning showers on Saturday, but overall the rain chance remains lower at 40%. Some afternoon storms develop Sunday.

Next week, rain chances return to 60%, and most of them develop in the afternoon and evening.
While there are five tropical waves we are tracking, none of them has a strong chance of development.
