Thousands were without power as severe weather moved through Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Thousands across the Tampa Bay area were without power as severe weather moved across the region Thursday afternoon.

Below is a list of outages reported by local power companies.

Tampa Electric Company

As of 7:20 p.m., 83 customers have reported power outages.

If you see a down power line or open transformer, call 813-223-0800 or 1-888-223-0800. You can also report gas leaks by calling 1-877-TECO-PGS (1-877-832-6747).

Peace River Electric

No outages have been reported.

Florida Power and Light

The following counties have reported outages:

  • Sarasota County: 43 customers
  • Manatee County: 36 customers

  • Pinellas County: 114 customers
  • Pasco County: 1 customer
  • Hernando County: 1 customer

Four outages have been reported in Lakeland.
