TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- A cool start this morning turns into a milder afternoon with a little more sunshine. Temperatures warm into the mid and upper 60s today, which is still below average, but much of the day will be dry.

Rain chances will be up and down over the next 6 days.

A few quick showers are possible this evening, overnight, and Saturday morning.
Saturday will be the nicer weekend day. Although a shower is possible early, much of the day will be comfortable with temperatures in the mid-70s and mostly dry conditions. Rain chances will stay very low through the early evening before increasing after 8 pm.

Sunday will be a possible washout. A cold front will pass through bringing heavy rain, even a few thunderstorms.

Temperatures will plummet behind this front next week with highs in the 50s Monday through Wednesday.

Low temperatures could dip into the 30s for several nights.

On top of the colder air, rain chances will increase again Tuesday into Wednesday as another system crosses the state.
