Near-Record Heat This Week Across Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Bay is heating up! temperatures over the next few days are flirting with record highs as we head into the middle and end of the week. While the air remains relatively dry, the heat is building. Some much-needed rain may return early next week.


Tuesday: Partly Sunny, Warm, and Dry

It’s a warm and dry Tuesday across the Tampa Bay Area. Morning temps quickly rise through the 80s, with a high near 89°. Humidity stays manageable, and skies remain partly sunny with light winds out of the southeast, shifting westerly at 5–10 mph.


Record Heat Possible Mid-Week

We’re entering record-challenging territory:

  • Wednesday: Forecast high of 90°, record is 91°
  • Thursday: Forecast high of 92°, record is 90°
  • Friday: Forecast high of 92°, record is 93°

This stretch will feel more like early summer than late April.

  • Wednesday–Friday: Sunshine dominates with highs in the low 90s and only a 10% chance of a stray shower midweek.
